Nile Sugar "White Granulated Sugar" is a free-flowing white crystalline food of the highest quality (max 45 ICUMSA) and ultimate purity (99.80%). From February to June each year this sugar is extracted from locally grown sugar beets, and the resulting sugar juice is then purified and concentrated.
At other times of the year, impure raw sugar from overseas cane sugar plantations (e.g. Brazil) is imported to the factory and is converted into the same high-quality Nile Sugar white granulated sugar using a sophisticated sugar refining process.
